The Folly Hotel - North Berwick

Everything was very good, we had peaceful 1 day here. The staff was very friendly and excellent, offered exceptional services. The breakfast served was lovely with generous portions and fruit plate, for instance. The hotel had a very central location to nearby pub. Liked our time here.

It has efficient and accommodating stuff and good facilities.

Self-check-in system was convenient and straightforward.

The room door latch was broken, leading to security concerns.

The Folly Hotel offered a charming atmosphere with clean, well-decorated rooms, and the sea view from my window was good. The owners provided attentive service.

Good location near the beach.

I was shocked by the lack of cleanliness in the room. The shower tray was dangerously broken. Communication with hotel staff was non-existent.

The sea view from the room was nice and the location right by the golf course allowed for easy access to recreational activities. The bed was comfortable and provided a decent spot for unwinding after a day of exploring.

Disappointment arose from a few key aspects, starting with the shower pressure, likely due to older plumbing. The room configuration was less than ideal. Electrical sockets were awkwardly placed. The breakfast offerings were rather underwhelming, with the kippers lacking in presentation and variety. It might also be worth noting that some rooms felt a touch cramped, likely not ideal for those seeking spacious accommodations.

The folly is perfect location in the center of town, just a short walk to the beach, great after a day full of driving. The staff were super friendly. I also loved how nice the breakfast selection was, especially the kippers and bacon.

Comfortable room, convenient location, with quick access to the beach and good cafes nearby, where I enjoyed a pleasant stay and found the wifi reliable for planning my next adventure.

The location of the folly hotel is amazing, right by the sea and close to the beach. The room i got was nice and clean which i really appreciated. Also the breakfast was fresh and tasty, they had great coffee too. Staff were friendly. I loved the comfy bed, slept like a baby!

It was just an excellent fit for a rapid stop in North Berwick with really good value. The building has an interesting history which adds character. Look for nearby cafes for breakfast options.

The room was cozy and just what I needed for a good night's sleep after exploring the coast. Breakfast was tasty with plenty to choose from. The stairs are a bit steep, so be ready for a hike! Staff were super friendly.

Impeccably clean room, well-stocked with thoughtful snacks. The hotel has easy parking and is close to the train station. Highly recommend the calming atmosphere, perfect for solo travelers!

Comfortable stay with amazing snacks

We only stayed for a night, but it was pretty awesome! The room was clean and comfy, the bed seemed like a cloud. They had a great selection of snacks, like crisps and cakes, such a nice touch. Only wish breakfast had an eggs benedict option, but the scrambled eggs were solid.
